Focus Permissions
Aloy has a highly advanced device called a Focus that she wears all the time. Among its abilities, she can use it to scan things/people to identify them. This tells very basic information, on the level of 'human', 'machine', etc. If you would like her Focus to malfunction or otherwise not know what the heck to make of your character, let me know here.
